Dress Design-Coronavirus Personal Protective Equipment
My daughter was selected in an inter-school competition wherein she was supposed to wear a costume and do a ramp walk. With the guidance of her school class teacher, I designed a newspaper PPE (Personal protective equipment) dress for my daughter. The entire dress was woven with newspaper clipping on COVID-19. I chose COVID-19 as at that time people were not aware of the seriousness of the disease. By showing clipping and having my daughter talk about it, I wanted to increase awareness. Forty schools participated in the contest on an all-India level. My daughter won second place.
